Profile: Professor Rane obtained his MBBS in 1984 at the University Of Poona, India, graduating with a Doctor Of Medicine in 1987. He undertook Urogynaecology training in the United Kingdom before he moved to Townsville in 1997 where he founded the first Urogynaecology unit for regional north Queensland.In 2011 he was awarded his PhD and continues to be involved in training and mentoring in this field.Professor Rane pioneered the Perigree system in 2004 for which he received the Innovators Award for 2011.Professor Rane received the FRANZCOG in 1998 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2003.
