Profile: Matthew was born in Perth and educated at Christ Church Grammer School. He studied Medicine at the University of Western Australia and graduated in 1997. He undertook his residency at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth. After working in the United Kingdom in 2002 he was selected in 2005 for the Advanced Training Program in Orthopaedic Surgery in Western Australia.Upon successfully completing his training he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2009.In 2010, Matthew spent 12 months at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, U.K. for subspecialty training in Foot and Ankle Surgery.
