Doctor Wysun Wong BSc (Hons), PhD, MBBS, FRACS is a Perth born Australian trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He completed a PhD in melanoma treatment at the QEII Medical Centre in Perth before studying medicine in Queensland, graduating in 2001. He returned to Western Australia for his surgical training and gained Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2011 after 5 years of intensive training in all aspects of adult and paediatric Plastic Surgery. Wysun was then accepted to participate in a highly sought after Hand and Upper limb fellowship at Middlemore Hospital in New Zealand for a further 12 months of training in hand and wrist surgery.
Doctor Wong has a strong commitment to training future Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, consulting, teaching and operating at Royal Perth Hospital and Perth Children's Hospital for Children. He has also been involved with the Rafiki voluntary surgical mission to Tanzania.
Dr Wong gained Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2011.
