Dr Lewis Blennerhassett was born and educated in Western Australia. His medical degree was from the University of Western Australia and his advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery was with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Blennerhassett was winner of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons’ travelling fellowship award in 1999. He is currently Head of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Princess Margaret Hospital (now Perth Children’s Hospital), and is also involved in training medical students, junior doctors and young-surgeons-in-training. He consults at St John of God Subiaco Hospital.
