About Dr Timothy Warnock
Profile: Dr Tim Warnock has been in General Paediatric Practice in Cairns since 1990. He is a Visiting Medical Officer to both Cairns Private Hospital and Cairns (Base) Hospital with admitting rights and credentialing to both facilities.Dr Warnock now focusses most of his time to his private practice and supporting the Women’s Unit at CPH. He provided holistic care to children from birth until their transition to early adulthood.Dr Warnock is a Senior Lecturer for James Cook University and regularly teaches Year 5 students during their Paediatric placement. He has been on college committees and is a member of the AMA, APEG (Australian Paediatric Endocrine Group) and APS (Australian Paediatric Society).Dr Warnock has been instrumental in developing Paediatric services in Tropical North Queensland with his role in establishing a premature neonatal follow up clinic, the first dedicated ADHD outpatient clinic, the first Child and Adolescent multidisciplinary Diabetes Clinic in Cairns and supporting the establishment of the Adolescent Ward during his employment with Queensland Health.He has gained a reputation as an avid amateur photographer with the Cairns Photographic Society and has contributed to two major exhibitions – “Cactus and Coral” in 2014 and “Doc’s Day Off” in 2017.
