Profile: Dr Timothy Baird is a Queensland trained Respiratory and Sleep Physician who has recently commenced practice on the Sunshine Coast.Dr Baird graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 and subsequently underwent specialist Respiratory and Sleep Medicine training at the Princess Alexander, Nambour General and Greenslopes Private Hospitals. In addition to these interests, Dr Baird consults in all other areas of respiratory and sleep medicine including asthma, COPD, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, sleep apnoea, and non-respiratory sleep disorders. He is skilled in bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and pleural disease management.Dr Baird remains actively involved in research and has published several international articles in addition to giving numerous presentations at local, national and international meetings.
