About Dr Andrew Pattison

Profile: Dr Andrew Pattison is a Queensland born and trained Respiratory and Sleep Physician who has recently commenced practice on the Sunshine Coast.Following a Bachelor of Science (Anatomy and Physiology), Dr Pattison completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Queensland in 2007. He completed specialty training in Respiratory Medicine at The Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and the Mater Hospital Brisbane. This was followed by a Sleep Medicine fellowship at The Prince Charles Hospital.After being admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2016, he subsequently completed a fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology at Toronto General Hospital in Canada.Upon returning to Australia, Dr Pattison has taken up a Staff Specialist position at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and has also commenced private practice at Pulse Oceanside Medical in Birtinya.Dr Pattison has a special interest in thoracic malignancy, with a focus on advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchsocopic and pleural procedures. This includes extensive experience with radial and convex endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS). He also has extensive experience and interest in the management of all other general respiratory and sleep disorders.Dr Pattison believes strongly in the role of collaboration with other medical professionals to enable a multidisciplinary approach in delivering exceptional patient centered care to patients on the Sunshine Coast.
