About Dr Peter D’Alessandro

Dr D'Alessandro studied medicine at the University of Western Australia and graduated with Honours.
After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he was awarded postgraduate Fellowships at three prestigious international institutions.
This provided the opportunity for advanced surgical training in his areas of sub-specialty, and he spent more than two years in the United Kingdom and North America gaining further expertise.
D'Alessandro specialises in:
- Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and shoulder instability surgery
- Multi-ligament knee reconstruction and hip arthroscopy which coincides with his particular interest in surgery for athletes.
A significant part of his practice also involves shoulder and knee joint replacement for arthritis.
D'Alessandro is an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
He is committed to the public health system, and is a consultant in orthopaedic surgery and trauma at Fiona Stanley, Fremantle Hospital and Rockingham Hospital.
