About Dr Michael Keith Edwards
Mr Michael Edwards is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia with Honours. He was awarded the AMA prize with aggregate marks in the final examinations for the degree of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and awarded the Intern of the Year Award in 1995 at Royal Perth Hospital.
Mr Edwards spent some time in general practice in country Western Australia before undertaking orthopaedic training in the United Kingdom and Perth. His subsequent fellowship training in upper limbs was undertaken at Monash University, Melbourne and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.
Mr Edwards completed his training in Orthopaedic Surgery in January 2004, initially working at Royal Perth Hospital on the trauma and elective surgery roster. He now confines his practice to St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital and St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals.
He has special interests in upper limb surgery, shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist.
Mr Edwards treats both public and private patients at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals.
