He was awarded a RANZCO Overseas Scholarship to support his subspecialty Fellowship training in the United Kingdom and North America.Dr Hogden holds a public appointment as a Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. In these academic posts he is involved in training Ophthalmology registrars and medical students and is involved in clinical research.Dr Hogden consults at Cairns Eye and Laser Centre in Cairns and Terrace Eye Centre in Brisbane. Michael will be performing retinal surgery at Cairns Day Surgery.
