Profile: Matt is a Radiation Oncologist with over 10 years of experience in Oncology. After graduating from Nottingham University, he became a Clinical Oncologist, training at St James’s University Hospital in Leeds, UK. With interests in technical radiotherapy he completed a two year clinical fellowship at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto, Canada. This experience focused on the management of head and neck malignancies, CNS tumours and spinal stereotactic radiotherapy.Matt worked as a Locum Consultant at St James University Hospital. Having moved to Australia and achieving specialist recognition, Matt worked as a Staff Specialist in Radiation Oncology at the Calvary Mater in Newcastle. Head and Neck cancer management has remained a strong interest of Matt’s. He has also developed interests in the management of Breast and Skin Cancers.Matt takes an active role in research and has several publications.
