Dr Ken Wong is a highly experienced bariatric surgeon based at Gosford Private Hospital and Brisbane Waters Private Hospital. His specific focus is gastrointestinal surgery using keyhole surgical techniques which he favours due to the minimally invasive nature of the surgery and the shortened recovery times. He obtained his specialist qualification in surgery (Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons) in 2006. Dr Wong has performed over 1000 keyhole abdominal surgeries and has been involved in hundreds of keyhole weight loss surgeries including lap bands, gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and gastric band removals. Dr Wong completed the Central Coast’s first ever elective laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery at Gosford Private Hospital in 2016.
