About Dr Emma Buckland
Dr Buckland grew up and attended school in Swan Hill. She completed her medical degree at Monash University before working in the Southern Health Network (Monash Medical Centre/Dandenong) as a junior doctor for three years.
In 2004, Dr Buckland moved to Bendigo working on the Maternity Ward at Bendigo Hospital - thus beginning her love of obstetrics, caring for pregnant women and delivering babies.
Dr Buckland completed her O&G training at the Royal Women’s Hospital, before gaining her full qualifications, as an obstetrician and gynaecologist, at Box Hill Hospital. She then returned to the Royal Women’s Hospital as an obstetrician and in private practice. Dr Buckland and her family moved to Bendigo in 2015.
Dr Buckland is passionate about her work. She particularly enjoys the obstetrics role but also helping women at other stages in their lives as a gynaecologist.
Dr Buckland treats a wide variety of conditions including period problems, infertility, menopause symptoms and vaginal prolapse.
