Dr Angelika Borozdina graduated from Volgograd Medical Academy in Russia in 1993 and went onto do her primary Obstetric and Gynaecological training at the Moscow Medical Academy, I.M. Sechenov from 1995 – 2000, where she then held the position of Consultant as well as Director of Emergency Gynaecological Surgery until 2005. Dr Borozdina and her family migrated to Australia, she commenced at The Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne, as a Senior HMO in 2005 until 2008 when she undertook her Australian Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) at Bendigo Health completed in 2010. Bendigo has welcomed Dr Borozdina, “My husband and I were looking to change our style of life and we thought it would be better to raise a family here.”

Dr Borozdina is a passionate clinician who has conducted many research activities in the fields of O&G such as methods of early detection of fetal abnormality, prevention of spreading infection in labour, advanced surgical and non-surgical management of endometriosis, minimally invasive surgery for Pelvic floor, urinary stress incontinence and Infertility issues. She has also co-authored many publications and presented these internationally.

She has a special interest in pelvic floor reconstruction, laparoscopic Hysterectomy, minimally invasive surgery for endometrial pathologies, postmenopausal syndrome and vaginal reconstruction surgery.
