Care of Professional Voice.Daniel Completed Medical School (University of Sydney) and Otolaryngology Training in Australia before undertaking 2.5 years of subspecialty training in Head and Neck Surgery and Laryngology / Neurolaryngology. He spent 18 months in North America at University of Toronto and the New York Centre for Voice and Swallowing Disorders before returning to Australia where he established a clinic to deliver clinical services in ENT and his subspecialty fields to an international standard.During his time in Toronto and New York, Daniel received training from world leaders in the fields of Laryngology and Neurolaryngology dealing with complex voice issues. He gained experience in professional voice care working under the Medical director of the New York Metropolitan Opera and gaining wide exposure to Broadway performers.Daniel has published in numerous peer reviewed journals and has published textbook chapters as an invited expert in his fields of expertise. He is actively involved in teaching at a local, national and international level and is a regular invited speaker at international conferences. He serves as Clinical Senior lecturer for University of Sydney Medical School and has active research interest in laryngology including being the clinical lead of the bionic voice project in Australia. He also sits on the board of the Australian Voice Association.Daniel has rooms at St Leonards and Drummoyne with a special interest in disorders of voice, airway (breathing) and swallowing in adults and children as well as care of general ENT problems. He runs an airway diagnostic service including allergy testing and treatment of chronic cough and laryngeal reflux. He also runs a multidisciplinary voice and swallow clinic in conjuction with a number of senior speech pathologists to deliver unique comprehensive care at an international standard. An emergency after-hours service for vocal performers is available by special arrangement.In his spare time Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 boys, skiing, kayaking and fishing.
