I developed pericarditis following the Pfizer vaccine. I was instructed by the Waikato hospital to see my gp for a cardiologist referral as well as a vaccine extension exemption. I have been hospital 3 times for this. First visit diagnosis: chest pain with a note suspected pericarditis. Second visit diagnosis: post vaccine pericarditis. Third visit: the same as the second. At that time I was so unsteady on my feet I had to use a cane to walk as another side effect was dizziness and falling. Walking to his room I was breathing heavily as the chest pain was quite extreme. With me I had all my hospital paperwork. That period I had visited the hospital two times and had a third after the visit. On his screen he had the first visit. I preceded to tell him what happened and what I was advised by the ed doctor after consulting with their on call cardiologist. Dr Das exclaimed that I do not have pericarditis. I asked him where he gets this impression from. I produced the most recent documentation. I pointed to the date and asked him to read it. Then I pointed to the primary diagnosis and asked him that that said. He looked at me with a glazed look and said you don’t have pericarditis. He then asked me what I want from him. I said the hospital wanted me to get the exemption extension from the ministry of health. He refused and said I need to do it myself. Which is incorrect. Members of the public may only seek an exemption with the support with a medical professional. He then went on to refuse to refer me to a cardiologist. 5 months later I felt confident to drive to the practice and make a complaint. When the chest pains start I feel dizzy and my vision blurs. Today I felt safe to drive and as I am slowly recovering. I felt even if I got angry and had an attack in would be able to make it home. I spoke to the practice manager who advised me that he does not work there anymore. He has had a plethora of complaints about him. This has resulted in him being investigated by the New Zealand medical council over all the complaints. He is an abrasive, rude, unprofessional, arrogant individual. He did nothing but antagonise me and cause more chest pain. He implied that my condition was imagined. His disgusting attitude will probably result in patient death. I found out later my mother had also visited him with an ear infection. When she said it was effecting her sleep he wanted to prescribe diazepam. Diazepam isn’t something that should be prescribed for someone who is just tired. I suspect the circumstance might drive him back over the Tasman. That is if he didn’t flee from complaints there. A doctor that thinks he can diagnose a heart condition by looking at you is little more than a quack. Even the Accident Claims Corporation has me down as treatment injury.
