Profile: Berkeley Vale Private Mental Health Services has the pleasure in announcing Dr George Onyema who is joining our team of ten (10) psychiatrists in providing a much needed Mental Health service to the Central Coast of NSW.Located with Berkeley Vale Private Hospital, the Mental Health Clinic is a twenty eight (28) bed unit providing a number of services under the guidance of psychiatrists offering specialist mental health care for both inpatient and outpatient services.Dr Onyema trained in psychiatry in Ireland and obtained membership with the Royal College of Psychiatrist (UK). He then relocated to New Zealand and Australia and became a Fellow of the Royal Australia New Zealand College of psychiatrist.Since moving to Australia, he has worked mainly on the Central Coast and North Sydney LHD. He has worked in broad range of areas in Mental Health.His special interest is working with adult patients presenting with psychiatric problems. Dr Onyema uses both pharmacological and psychological interventions when treating patients.Dr George Onyema is available and accepting appointments and referrals in his rooms at Berkeley Vale Clinic.
