Mr Hanegbi gained expertise in performing these treatments through training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre where he undertook a Urologic Oncology Fellowship. He has also undertaken further training in the United States, gaining experience in nerve sparing radical prostatectomy, robotic surgery and brachytherapy.Benign prostate enlargement is treated by a variety of medical and minimally invasive surgical techniques, depending on the patient’s specific Urological condition. In many patients surgical intervention is not indicated and Mr Hanegbi is able to guide patients in their decision making process.Management of Kidney stones (Renal Calculi) is a particular area of subspecialty interest to Mr Hanegbi. He offers the full range of treatment options for renal calculi, with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques including lithotripsy (shock waves), percutaneous renal surgery, ureteroscopy and laser.
