About Dr Trevor Gervais
Profile: Dr Trevor Gervais is a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.He obtained his medical degree from the Queen's University of Belfast in 1998. He completed basic surgical training in the UK and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland before moving to Queensland.He completed advanced training in Orthopaedic Surgery and obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.Dr Gervais undertook further fellowship training in Hand and Peripheral nerve surgery in Sydney, working at Royal North Shore and Westmead Children's Hospitals.Dr Gervais has a specialist interest in adult and paediatric elective and trauma hand surgery, including microsurgery.He manages general orthopaedic trauma and works at the Royal Children's Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. He is a senior lecturer with the University of Queensland and an associate member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Special interests: - fracture repairs- releases, transfer and repairs of tendons & reconstruction of injuries- joint deformities- congenital defects.
