Profile: Dr Tony Pang is a Pancreatic and Hepatobiliary Surgeon with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery.He graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2004 and undertook surgical training at Royal North Shore Hospital. He then completed further training in pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery under the competitive post-fellowship training program of the ANZHPBA (Australia New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Association). He spent this training period at Westmead Hospital in Sydney and Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore. During this time, he acquired experience in both open and minimally invasive techniques in pancreatic and liver surgery.Dr Pang is currently a Staff Specialist at Westmead Hospital.Dr Pang is also a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney (Westmead Clinical School). He has a strong interest in teaching the next generation of doctors and surgeons and is an instructor at various courses run by the University and College of Surgeons. He is also an active researcher and his research interests relate mainly to the treatment of liver, pancreatic and biliary disorders. He has published more than 25 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at many national and international conferences.
