Profile: Dr Lai commenced practice at the Gold Coast Heart Centre in January 2012. He attended The Southport School (TSS) and graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School. His cardiology training was undertaken at The Prince Charles Hospital, Townsville and the Gold Coast Hospital. He was also trained in PFO closure, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) assessment and percutaneous aortic balloon valvuloplasty. He is a co-author of multiple clinical research papers and is also actively involved with medical students training and education.Dr Lai visits inpatients at John Flynn Private Hospital daily and consults regularly from the Gold Coast Heart Centre at Tugun, Southport and Hope Island.
