About Dr Tim Fletcher

Tim underwent his undergraduate medical training in The Queens University, Belfast, qualifying in 2002. He moved to Australia in 2003 initially working in the Orthopaedic department in Townsville Hospital for five years. Here he received an excellent grounding in Orthopaedic Surgery. He was admitted into the Australian Orthopaedic Program in 2008 becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2012. He completed a fellowship in the United Kingdom in a high volume hip and knee replacement unit with Professor David Beverland before settling back in the South West in 2014. His main interests are shoulder, hip and knee surgery, specialising in joint replacement surgery, including partial knee replacement, and soft tissue reconstruction for sporting injuries.
