Dr Tim Cooney MBBS(Hon) FRACS grew up in Queensland and graduated from the University of Queensland with honours. Tim won several prizes in his undergraduate years including the William Nathaniel Robertson Medal, the HJ Windsor prize and the Memorial prize of the Australian Medical Association.
