Dr. Tanya Gabriel is a vocationally registered general practitioner with over 20 years experience in the field. She graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1990 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. She spent the following 2 years working in various specialties in the hospital system and as a GP before relocating to Melbourne

General practitioner (GP) treat all common medical conditions and refer patients to hospitals and other medical services for urgent and specialist treatment. Another important part of the work of a GP is preventative medicine and health promotion, include child immunisation and lifestyle modification.
