About Dr Stuart Riley

Dr Riley completed his undergraduate studies in Medicine at Sydney University and Royal North Shore Hospital, and graduated with Honours in 1985. Between 1985 and December 1993 he completed his Hospital Residency in Sydney, and also completed advanced Orthopaedic Surgical training on the Sydney North-side Orthopaedic program. Dr Riley has been in private practice on the upper north shore of Sydney since January 1994, and practices at both Sydney Adventist Hospital and Hornsby Kuring-gai Hospital. He has received post-fellowship training in Hip and Knee joint replacement, knee surgery including arthroscopy and cruciate reconstruction, and in foot and ankle surgery including arthroscopy and correction of congenital and acquired conditions such as bunions, arthritis and trauma. He has also trained in lower-limb trauma surgery, including fractures at the neck of the femur, fractured femur and tibia, and ankle and foot fractures. Dr Riley is a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, and the Australian Foot and Ankle Society. Dr Riley has published and given lectures in his areas of interest. These include Fractured Hips (neck of femur); Hip and Knee Arthroplasty (joint replacement); conditions of the foot and ankle; ankle fractures; and Knee arthroscopy and ACL Reconstruction.
