I can’t thank Dr. Stephen Byrne enough, and highly recommend him and his helpful caring team. He performed a lumbar discectomy and laminectomy on me, as I had a bulging disc pressing on my sciatic nerve, causing me severe and debilitating pain. In the end, I could barely walk, and was on high pain medication. Dr. Byrne thoroughly explained the procedure, answering all my queries, and buoying me up with a prognosis of a positive outcome. I am now pain free, medication free, and have my normal life back again, YAY!!!, all thanks to the amazing Dr. Byrne and his team!

After experiencing pain and tingling in my left leg for a couple of years, I saw Dr Stephen Byrne who arranged tests and quickly diagnosed the cause. I underwent spinal fusion on Wednesday 31 August 2022 and I was up and walking totally pain free the very next day apart from some minor discomfort around the wound area in lower back. Absolutely fabulous outcome and I can’t thank Dr Byrne, Vicki and the team enough.

After experiencing extreme pain in my lower back with referred sciatica pain down my right leg, I went to see Dr Stephen Byrne who arranged for me to have an MRI. It was then Dr Byrne told me that there was some of a disc and bone pressing on the nerve, He said that he could operate and remove some pieces of disc and bone to relieve me of the pain which he did and I am very happy to report that I noticed the next day that most of that pain had gone and 2 weeks later I was walking quite freely. After 6 weeks I was back doing things like mowing the lawn. My surgery was a Right L3/4 Foraminal Discectomy. Dr Byrne, Vicki and the team are very professional, friendly and efficient. Dr Byrne is an amazing surgeon and i feel that I have my life back. I would recommend Dr Byrne to anyone.
