General practitioner treats patients of all ages from newborn babies to elderly people. GP have an important role to play in the management of acute care, chronic diseases and the treatment of patients with multiple health conditions. General practitioner (GP) treat all common medical conditions and refer patients to hospitals and other medical services for urgent and specialist treatment. Another important part of the work of a GP is preventative medicine and health promotion, include child immunisation and lifestyle modification. Emergency medicine physician are 'acute generalists' with specialist skills in resuscitation and diagnosis in the acute phase of illness. Emergency medicine clinicians provide care for patients in all age groups and with a wide range of clinical needs. Emergency doctors assist patients in need of acute, life-saving care. These physicians must think and act quickly to diagnose and treat patients, providing cardiac life support, trauma care, and other actions that help patients in life-threatening scenarios.
