He maintains an active research presence, receiving scholarships from the National Health and Medical Research Council and the Austin Medical Research Foundation.Robert was awarded a PhD from Melbourne University in “Evaluation of Myocardial Contractile Dysfunction and Viability Related to Ischaemia”, and has published nearly 20 clinical papers. His areas of special interest include functional evaluation of coronary lesions using fractional flow reserve measurements, and complex percutaneous coronary intervention including rotational atherectomy and chronic total occlusion.; When Robert finds time to relax, he enjoys snow sports, music and gardening.
