• 16.02.2022Dr Read saved my life and my breasts. Because of the size of the tumors in my right breast the first surgeon I saw told me bluntly I’d need a mastectomy and when I asked if he could remove the other one too he rudely asked ‘why would you want to do that?’
I then saw Dr Read who told me she thought she could save some of the breast and was prepared to reduce the left one to match. She not only managed to remove the tumor plus margins, she only took 2 lymph nodes and saved the nipple which was touch and go due to an earlier surgery. As a result I have two small breasts with nipples and discreet scarring that is already fading six months later. This doctor is a genius, compassionate and clever. I am so grateful for her skill and dedication and I highly recommend her. Thank you Dr Read.

• 12.06.2022I wanted a female surgeon to remove my breast cancer. It seemed to me a woman would understand breasts more than a man. Dr Rebecca Read certainly met my expectations. She arranged appointments around public holidays, explained the path forward clearly. She included the surgery required and the post operative treatments. This was a great start for me. Knowing what was going to happen.
My surgery was in early May. The post operative care from Dr Read and her team has been great. I went to my GP just the other day to check the healing of the wound prior to me starting my chemo. My GP said what a beautiful shape the scar was. Another tribute to the care Dr Read takes. Very much appreciated on many levels.
