Nuclear medicine physician is a specialist who uses of radioactive medication (radiopharmaceuticals or radioisotopes) to diagnose and treat of a wide range of medical disease. Radiologists are able to understand and explain medical conditions through the medical imaging of the internal parts of a patient’s body. Most radiologists in Australia work in general radiology with diagnostic imaging, comprising X-ray, computerised tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound and nuclear medicine imaging techniques, to obtain images that are interpreted to assist in diagnosis.
