Profile: Professor Paul Moroz has commenced full time practice at Joondalup Health Campus for both public and private patients on a no gap basis, together with an academic appointment at the University of Western Australia. Professor Moroz's practice provides a comprehensive service in emergency and elective General Surgery together with Hepatobiliary surgery.Professor Moroz completed Fellowship training in advanced Liver Surgery at St George Hospital in Sydney. Professor Moroz's particular interest is in the treatment of benign and malignant liver and biliary lesions. Professor Moroz offers a comprehensive assessment and workup of any hepatobiliary lesion, and can provide full management including open and laparoscopic liver resection.Professor Moroz also holds a PhD from the University in Western Australia in the field of liver cancer and has been published widely in this area. Professor Moroz has a continuing involvement in cutting edge research into novel treatments for liver tumours and so can assess patients for the most up to date treatments available for any liver lesion.Professor Moroz's interests include:General Surgery - hernias (laparoscopic and open), laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendicectomy, small bowel and colonic surgery, carpel tunnel, haemorrhoids, skin lesions, venous access. Investigation of abdominal pain and all emergency general surgery.Liver Surgery - all malignant and benign conditions.Oncologic Surgery - pseudomyxoma, peritoneal carcinomatosis, intraperitoneal chemotherapy, sarcoma and melanoma (including sentinel lymph node biopsy and lymph node clearance).
