Profile: Dr Frost was born and raised in Adelaide and attended the University of Adelaide Medical School. He undertook basic surgical training in Adelaide, before moving to Perth to complete his specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery.Hespent six months of his specialist training working in charity hospital, Shriner's Hospital for Children, Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.Upon completion of his training, he undertook a Fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery and periacetabular osteotomy (hip preservation surgery) under Dr Michael Solomon (Sydney Orthopaedic Specialist) at Prince of Wales Hospitals, Sydney NSW.He subsequently completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics with Professor David Little at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney NSW, where he trained in and treated a wide range of paediatric orthopaedic conditions, including nonarthroplasty techniques for treatment of complex paediatric and adolescent hip disorders.Following completion of his Fellowships, Nic returned to Perth to join the team at Hollywood Orthopaedic Group. He has a focus on complaints of the hip and knee, offering comprehensive outcome based care to his patients. His special interest is hip pathology in all ages and in particular, the effects of childhood hip problems in adolescents and adults. He utilises multiple techniques including direct anterior approach (DAA) for hip replacement surgery and offers hip preservation options for young adults.
