About Dr Monique Damasco
B MED (U Newcastle), FRANZCOG, DDU
Profile: I am on Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in minimally invasive pelvic surgery. I completed my medical degree at the University of Newcastle and specialty training at St George Public Hospital. Whilst a fellow at the Royal Hospital for Women I obtained a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound, as this invaluable tool is used extensively in both obstetrics and gynaecology. In my gynaecology practice I aim to use endoscopic techniques (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy) that enable treatment of common and complex problems to minimise impact to your health and improve recovery. I have completed two years of fellowship training in Advanced laparoscopy at the Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne. I have a special interest in endometriosis, pelvic pain, fertility, adhesions and cysts, abnormal menstrual bleeding, uterine fibroids and abnormal cervical screening test management. Outside of my practice I like to spend time with my family, dog, running and yoga and I speak Portuguese.
