Profile: Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Michelle Rodrigues from Chroma Dermatology.Michelle is the founder of Chroma Dermatology. She is a dermatologist with Anglo-Indian ancestry and has over a decade of dermatology experience. She currently holds senior consultant positions at St. Vincent’s Health and the Royal Children’s Hospital. Michelle is globally renowned for her skill and expertise in treating pigment problems and diagnosing and managing skin conditions in those with skin of colour (eg.Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern and African skin).While adults and children of all skin types are cared for, they are proud to be Australia’s first dedicated dermatology centre for pigment and skin of colour and are committed to education, evidence based research and community service.Services and Facilities:• Dermatology consulting services – all adult and paediatric dermatologyExamples include:– Pigment problems – melasma, vitiligo, freckling, sun damage– Acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, rashes, lumps and bumps– Hyperhidrosis (registered provider of PBS-subsidised BotulinumToxin injections for axillary sweating)– Paediatric dermatology• Surgical/treatment room and state-of-the-art phototherapy services• Globally renowned laser systems (all lasers at Chroma Dermatologyare safe in skin of colour).
