Dr Michael Yang grew up in Carlingford and attended high school at James Ruse Agricultural High School. He then went on to complete his medical degree at the University of New South Wales, and graduated with Distinction in 2015. He undertook his prevocational training locally at Westmead and Westmead Children’s Hospitals. He completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2020 along with a Diploma in Child Health.
