About Dr Michael Walsh

Dr Walsh graduated from University of NSW with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1977. After RMO years at St Vincent's Hospital Sydney he did 2 years of General Surgical training at Sydney Hospital before entering the AOA training program from which he graduated in 1985. After a fellowship year in Austria & Italy, he commenced practice in Windsor in 1986. Dr Walsh's interests are hip & knee replacement and he has a special interest in the management of the chronic and intractable conditions of Trochanteric Bursitis, Plantar Fasciitis and Tennis Elbow. Dr Walsh has performed over 1200 hip tendon reconstructions, has also published the largest series on this in "Journal of Arthroplasty" and has written an invited article on the surgical management of Plantar Fasciitis in an article "Foot and Ankle International". He holds a patent for a unique apparatus for leg positioning in theatre. He has developed a database application for the complete management of clinical records in Orthopaedic Practice.
