Dr Michael Bennett is a rehabilitation physician completing his medical degree in 1983 at the University of Melbourne.
Michael was admitted to fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 1997 and now consults with the McKellar Centre and holds accreditation with St John of God Geelong Hospital and University Hospital – Geelong.
Rehabilitation physician diagnoses, assess, prevents and treats of an individual with a disability due to illness or injury. Rehabilitation Physicians work with people with a disability to help them achieve and maintain an optimal level of performance and improve their quality of life. Rehabilitation medicine includes treatment for a wide assortment of conditions and disabilities, ranging from management of disabilities following major illnesses such as spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke and multiple fractures to rehab treatment following acute sports and musculoskeletal injuries.
