• 18.04.2023If you are referred to Dr Polon, please ask your GP for a referral to a different Paediatrician. Dr Polon is insensitive, unprofessional and gives families his opinion, based on a short consultation in his office. I currently work in the early childhood disability sector and receive many “assessment” reports from Dr Polon, which may contain a few sentences stating a specific diagnosis, but with no evidence that appropriate medical/developmental assessments were ever completed. My first experience with Dr Polon was neary 24 years ago when I took my 5 week old baby to him because she was turning blue around her mouth when she was sleeping. He told me that I was a “paranoid parent” and advised me that it was quite normal for a baby to turn blue while sleeping. He shattered my confidence as a new parent, and seems to continue to do this based on the reports that I receive on young children.
