Profile: Pindara Private Hospital is now offering on-site sleep study diagnostic services with Respiratory and Sleep Specialists who are fully accredited to provide this state-of-the-art sleep monitoring service.Respiratory and Sleep Specialists Sleep Services have a Gold Standard in lab and portable polysomnography performed in accordance with guidelines published by the Australasian Sleep Association and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.The studies will operate initially on a Thursday/Friday/Saturday and Sunday night. The patients will sleep in dedicated sleep study and lung function private rooms which have been fully renovated and adjoin the Polysomnographic Technician's Laboratory. The Technician remains on-site for the entire testing and then sends the analysis to the treating VMO/GP. Currently, Respiratory and Sleep Specialists perform 500 sleep studies each month in QLD and NT. They have 20 years of experience and undertake extensive training and development programs for their staff.The patient attends Pindara Private Hospital Sleep Investigation Unit for their overnight sleep study. The patient will see a specialist for their results and further management.
