Mr Matt Oliver is a highly qualified General Surgeon. He has a special interest in Breast, Endoscopy, and Hernia .
Matt Oliver qualified with MBChB Birmingham at the University of Rhodesia in 1974. He specialised in surgery in Belfast and Nottingham in the UK and in Zimbabwe, obtaining the Edinburgh Fellowship in 1982. He worked in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe as a General Surgeon in both Government and Private Practice until leaving to move to Australia in 2002. He has worked in Broken Hill, NSW, was awarded the FRACS in 2004 and then moved to Bendigo.
He has been actively involved in teaching registrars and medical students, holding an appointment with Monash University as well as teaching on various College of Surgeons courses such as EMST and CCrISP. Matt is a member of the Breast Surgeons section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is accredited by GESA (Gastroenterological Society of Australia) for colonoscopy and gastroscopy.
