Profile: Dr Mark Davoren completed his undergraduate medical degree at The University of Cape Town in 1991. Following his internship he briefly spent time in general practice before relocating in 1994 to the United Kingdom and then to Australia in 1998. It was in Brisbane that he completed his Paediatric training at the Mater and Royal Children's Hospitals.Dr Davoren obtained his Paediatric Fellowship in 2005 and in 2006 was admitted as a Fellow of the Chapter of Community Child Health.Dr Davoren has worked as a General and Child Protection Paediatrician in the Redcliffe and Caboolture Health Service District until commencing private practice at North West Hospital this year. He currently serves on the Specialist Advisory Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians overseeing the advanced training of general paediatricians within Australia. Paediatrician specialises in the treatment of neonates, infants, children and adolescents. Paediatrician treats a wide range of illnesses, injuries and conditions. They often examine and treat babies immediately after birth. They can assess and if necessary, resuscitate newborns and manage treatment of premature babies.
