Dr Mario Alberghini is a dual qualified consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, with degrees in Medicine and Dentistry. He has a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours, and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Western Australia.
Dr Alberghini has had experience in a wide variety of general surgical disciplines before completing his advanced specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Royal Perth Hospital, the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Perth Dental Hospital. He now practices the full range of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, with a sub-specialty interest in Facial Trauma and Reconstruction, Craniofacial Titanium Implant Rehabilitation and Surgical Oral Pathology; as well as Minor Oral Surgery including Wisdom Teeth Surgery, Dento-Alveolar & Preprosthetic Surgery.
Over the years, Dr Alberghini has been involved in the teaching of Medical and Dental students, as well as advanced Surgical Trainees. Until recently, he was a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon at Fremantle Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and is a member of the Western Australian Regional Surgical Training Committee involved with supervising the training of specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also operates at St John of God Subiaco and Murdoch Hospitals and St John of God Wembley Day Surgery.
Dr Alberghini is a member of the Australian & New Zealand Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ANZAOMS), International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
