Paediatrician specialises in the treatment of neonates, infants, children and adolescents. Paediatrician treats a wide range of illnesses, injuries and conditions. They often examine and treat babies immediately after birth. They can assess and if necessary, resuscitate newborns and manage treatment of premature babies. A neurologist is a specialist who diagnoses and treats conditions of the brain, spinal cord and nerves such as neurological disorders (Parkinson's disease and motor neurone disease), degenerative disorders that affect thinking ability (Alzheimer's disease), brain or spinal injuries, infections of the nervous systems (meningitis or brain abscesses), headaches and migraines, seizures and epilepsy, strokes and aneurysms (bleeding in the brain).
