Luigi D'Orsogna is a graduate of the University of Western Australia.
He trained in paediatrics at the Children's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children (PMH) in Western Australia.
Thereafter, he completed a Fellowship in paediatric cardiology at the Children's Hospital in Boston and the Harvard Medical School where he developed a special interest in fetal cardiology and interventional cardiac catheterisation procedures for congenital heart disease.
In 1990, he established fetal cardiology as an antenatal specialty in Western Australia.
He is currently a visiting consultant cardiologist to PMH and King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women (KEMH), and is the Director of Fetal Cardiology in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Service at KEMH.
Dr D'Orsogna also consults in private practice at Western Cardiology for all aspects of general paediatric cardiology, including congenital and acquired heart disease of childhood, arrhythmia and echocardiography.
