Profile: Dr. Liam Lim is an Australian-trained Fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology.He graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne in 2000. Amongst other prizes, he was awarded the Royal College of Physicians Prize in Clinical Medicine.He trained as an ophthalmologist at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, before undergoing further fellowship training in Oxford Eye Hospital and the Bristol Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom.In 2010, he returned to Australia to train in vitreoretinal surgery at the Royal Perth Hospital and the Lions Eye Institute in Perth. He has set up a vitreoretinal surgical service in Coffs Harbour Day Surgery to treat patients with retinal detachments, vitreous haemorrhages, macular holes and other vitreoretinal disease.
Special interests: Passion for the management of patients with Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), retinal vein occlusions, and glaucoma.
