He further trained and also worked as a Consultant at the world renowned Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada during which time he received various international and national awards in both the clinical and research arenas. On return to Sydney, he was awarded a PhD for his contributions to research in cystic fibrosis and pancreatic diseases and also received the Dean’s Rising Star Award (UNSW Medicine).
