Mr Justin Lade is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon operating at Mulgrave Private Hospital., Justin completed his Medical training at Melbourne University in 1993. He then completed his Orthopaedic Training in 2002 when he was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons as a specialist orthopaedic surgeon. With a keen interest in Hip and Knee Surgery, Justin undertook an International Arthroplasty Fellowship at the Western General Hospital Toronto, Canada and a Trauma, Sports and Arthroplasty Fellowship with the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh, Scotland for two years before returning to Melbourne in 2007., From 2007-2012 Justin held senior Consultant Orthopaedic positions with both Southern and Western Health Services where he was heavily involved in the professional development of the unit’s Orthopaedic Registrar’s. Justin continues to teach the final year Orthopaedic Registrar’s and has twice been awarded the prestigious AOA Tass Paxinos Award for Victorian Registrar Teaching., Justin provides a comprehensive local service in elective, fracture and sports orthopaedics, as well as general orthopaedics, (including feet, ankle and upper limb), enabling him to maintain a broad overview at all times. He is focused on providing optimal patient care using a conservative approach coupled with evidence based medicine ensuring that he achieves the best possible outcome for his patients. He believes in a collaborative approach and open communication with all involved i.e. patients, their families, GP’s and other allied health professionals., Justin is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA), the Australian Medial Association (AMA), Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Arthroplasty Society of Australia (ASA)., Justin specialises in the following procedures: Primary and revision reconstructive Hip and Knee surgery, Knee Arthroscopy, Sports Injuries including ACL & multi-ligament knee reconstruction, Achilles Tendon repairs, Patellofemoral OA & instability, Abductor tendon reconstruction, Fracture / Trauma management, Upper Limb including Shoulder replacements, Lower Limb (foot and ankle surgery), General Paediatric trauma / fracture management
