About Dr Joe Ragg

Mr Ragg is a general surgeon and endoscopist who has been providing surgical services in Warrnambool since 2011 after settling in the area with his wife and children.
After graduating from the University of Melbourne he completed his general surgical training at Royal Melbourne Hospital. He continued an interest in colorectal surgery, spending two years sub-specialty training in England as a Colorectal Surgical Fellow at the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals and also at Oxford Radcliffe Hospital as a Pelvic Floor Clinical Fellow.
Mr Ragg aims to provide excellent surgical care and a positive health care experience for patients from the initial consultation through to the completion of surgical care.
His scope of practice includes; bowel surgery including bowel cancer, endoscopy, colonoscopy and gastroscopy; breast surgery including breast cancer; abdominal surgery - gallbladder, appendix, hernia; general plastics (e.g. skin carcinoma & other lesions), carpal tunnel and minor urology.
