He holds a Staff Specialist position at the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD). He has admitting rights at the Wollongong hospital, Shellharbour hospital, Wollongong Private and Sydney South West Private hospitals. Dr Gohil is the first practising Electrophysiologist in the Illawarra area. He gained his wide ranging experience by working in different countries such as India, New Zealand and Australia. His Special interests: include device implantation including loop recorder, pacemakers, defibrillators (ICD) and biventricular pacemakers for heart failure patients. Dr Gohil performs electrophysiology (EPS) studies and ablations. He also consults patients on other general cardiac conditions such as chest pain, shortness of breath, heart failure, syncope, cardiac risk stratification.
