Profile: Dr James Tunggal is an Orthopaedic Surgeon whose main interests are in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery including ACL/PCL reconstructions, multi ligament knee reconstructions, chondral transplants, shoulder stabilisation and SLAP and arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs.Dr Tunggal is a fellow of the RACS and an associate member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. Having completed his training on the Sydney training programme in 2007, he undertook fellowship training in Norway at Ullevål University Hospital and Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center in knee and shoulder arthroscopy in 2008 and at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, Canada, in pelvic and lower limb trauma and arthroplasty surgery in 2009.Dr Tunggal is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland and is readily contactable and happy to discuss patient issues at any time.
